ALBERT B. ASHFORTH EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR
For Outstanding Performance, Service and Commitment

David Breidenbach has been with A.P. Construction since September, 2003.  He successfully completed Nokia’s 102,000 sf headquarters dealing with difficult deadlines and managing many challenges along the way and developed a solid working relationship with the Town of Harrison officials.  He has also worked with the project teams for the South Norwalk Library, Tamarack Country Club and been involved in the pre-construction for the Darien Library, Wee Burn Country Club and Pickwick Lofts.  He continues to be a great mentor to the PM’s and supers and is well respected by both our clients and the design professionals working on the projects.

For this and for his years of devoted service, we congratulate David as our 2006 Employee of the Year!

Ashforth Pacific, Inc. EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR
For Outstanding Performance, Service and Commitment

Wade Lange has been with Ashforth Pacific since 1997.  His long list of accomplishments come in the form of true dedication to our company, the community and the environment. Wade is a team player who will roll up his sleeves and help out in any way possible. He is a dedicated BOMA volunteer, holds a FMA designation from BOMA and is the current president of Portland’s BOMA chapter. In addition, Wade is one of Ashforth Pacific’s leaders in environmental initiatives and has led the way in moving Liberty Centre to obtain its LEED designation. Wade truly has shown outstanding performance, service and commitment to Ashforth Pacific, so we are pleased to award him with Ashforth Pacific’s Employee of the year award.  Wade will receive a check for $500 and a 3 night 4 day trip to New York City.

The following nominees for the 2006 ALBERT B. ASHFORTH EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR AWARD were recognized for their “outstanding performance, service and commitment” at The Ashforth Company’s annual holiday party.

Peter DeFeo has been with the company since March, 1999.  He works with everyone at the company at some point or another. He’s very responsive to requests, even ridiculous ones, very reliable, efficient and detail oriented.  He transitioned into a supervisory role, assuming all of his department’s responsibilities without a stumble.  This year he was responsible for installing the anti-spam blocker, upgrading the network servers and installing a new voice mail system.  He even managed to keep our systems from crashing during this past summer’s blackout.  He is always ready to help out with any technology issue with a smile and a laugh, even if you’re asking the same question for the umpteenth time!

James Brady began with us in August, 2003 and was previously nominated for Employee of the Year.  He is extremely professional in his position at Stamford Harbor Park and did an outstanding job managing the owner relationship at 8 Sound Shore for both ABA and APC – they relied on him throughout the entire year and he never faltered.  He has been lauded by the owners and our own brokers at SHP for how well he has maintained the facility.  His solid skills for team building and his ability to make great presentations to clients are just some of the reasons we are pleased to nominate him for Employee of the Year.

George Ferris has been with the company since July, 2001.  He is dedicated to his work and always offers innovative ideas.  He is enthusiastic and energetic and has demonstrated his strong creative talents with many projects over the years.  Besides his work for the operating departments, he has been involved with the BOMA newsletter and logo, Portland’s University program and many in-kind community events such as The WALK and the March of Dimes.  We all have seen his dedication to making Ashforth “greener” as he pushes everyone to stop using disposable utensils and to recycle their batteries.  But it’s his unique ideas and designs that truly make him a wonderful candidate for Employee of the Year.
