Stamford
Downtown Special Services District (DSSD) is once again holding
its Parade Spectacular on Sunday, November 18th, at 12 Noon. Stamford's
annual holiday balloon parade started fifteen years ago and has
become one of the largest events of its kind in the country, with
25 giant helium balloons floating through Stamford’s Downtown.
The parade showcases Stamford’s rich cultural diversity,
and last year it drew over 100,000 people, including Stamford residents,
spectators from the surrounding region and even nearby states.
As
a sponsor of the event, The Ashforth Company has chosen the Kermit
the Frog balloon which will be held by 30 Ashforth employees,
friends and family. The parade route starts at Summer Street
and Hoyt Street going South, passing right by The Ashforth Company’s
corporate headquarters located at 707 Summer Street, turns East
on Broad Street, then South on Atlantic Street. The parade ends
at the corner of Atlantic Street and Federal Street.
“The
Ashforth Company is delighted to support the Parade Spectacular
and the terrific work that DSSD does to make downtown Stamford
a desirable, safe and enjoyable destination,” noted Kim
DePra, Director of Marketing for The Ashforth Company.
