Veteran Brian P. Heelan has been promoted to Senior Vice President and Director of Operations of Albert B. Ashforth, Inc. – Management Services, a division of The Ashforth Company. He has taken over the responsibilities of running the entire operations of the division.

Heelan, a Bethel resident, joined Albert B. Ashforth, Inc., in 1992 as an assistant property manager. He had been promoted four times since then. Most recently he was senior vice president.

Heelan’s responsibilities include overseeing the operations of Ashforth’s owned and third party commercial real estate portfolio on the East Coast as well as the management team of 49 employees. Ashforth’s East Coast portfolio currently consists of over three million square feet of office space. Heelan will also work on establishing the strategic direction of the portfolio and procuring new asset and property management opportunities in an effort to grow the business.

Heelan holds a B.A. from Syracuse University and a B.S. in Facilities and Property Management from Iona College. He is a member of the Connecticut chapter of the Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA) and has his Real Property Administrator (RPA) certification.
